Ypres

Ypres was one of the great Flemish cloth towns of the middle ages with the imposing Cloth hall, rebuilt after the war, and the beautiful St.Martin's Cathedral reflecting its glorious past. Ypres boasts many poignant World War 1 sites including the award winning 'In Flanders Fields' Museum which from March 2002 hosts a new exhibition reflecting on the war, media and propaganda of the 20thC.
