Lille

One of the largest cities in northern France, it is well worth the journey to Old Lille at its centre. Explore the quaint antique shops, booksellers and horse and flower markets. Walk among imposing buildings and grand squares named after famous sons, such as Charles de Gaulle. Visit the Musee des Beaux Arts, one of France's richest museums. Lille is also an excellent shopping destination with designer boutiques and the massive 'Euraille' shopping complex.
